AITA for not apologizing to my friend after she screamed at me and my kid at her wedding?

Thank you, this is EXACTLY how I feel. If given the chance to respond when I got up there I absolutely would have apologized, and even offered to pay for some of the cake cost. The part that hurts ME the most is that she reacted to my son that way. Yell at me, fine I understand, I am happy to take it as I’m an adult and can understand the gravity of the situation. A 4 year old? Absolutely not. If it were any other kid I would feel the same way.

I would absolutely have apologized if not for the over the top reaction from her. We’ve been friends since high school, and contrary to everyone’s beliefs, we have NOT had any issues between us or her and my son before this. She always treated my son like her own nephew, hosting sleepovers with him and her nieces, giving Christmas/birthday gifts, etc. My son loves his auntie, and while he may not have understood all of what she was yelling at him about, he understood the tone and was inconsolable. THAT is what I’m mad about. Yell at me all you want and we can work it out, but do NOT scream at my son that way.
