Traveling to Dubai from USA- lgbt and prescriptions

Hello, I am a lesbian woman with short hair traveling to Dubai for work. I have been told by colleagues that I have nothing to worry about and to just relax, and just be respectful of the culture. Which I plan on doing.

Outside of this, I am bringing prescription medication for my stomach and some cream that is prescribed too.

I’ve heard customs over there isn’t actually as bad as it sounds. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
