Theft causing me to look at another car

Hey there!

Currently have a 2006 Prius with 110k miles. Great commuter, has no real issue.. however, catalytic converter was stolen in broad daylight in my work parking lot… insurance is covering besides deductible (I’m in CA so it’s 3k).

I’m going to sell the Prius after, as I don’t commute for work anymore and I don’t want to risk more cats stolen.

Wife and I have a 2012 odyssey that we love for the family, so my car needs to just be reliable.

I have always loved trucks and SUVS. Looking at anything that’s flagship domestic (f150, silverado) or anything Japanese.

Budget of 7.5k.

What’s best for our situation? Thx
