Is promotion worth it?

I'm a single mom with two kids, one of whom has special needs, both in daycare (read: often sick). I'm overqualified for, and understimulated in, my current job, so I started applying for higher positions in my company. I got an offer for a supervisor position. It's $25K more annually, but will involve longer hours, higher responsibility, and more stress.

I could use the money (living paycheck to paycheck, little saved for retirement), but I'm worried about how burnt out I'm going to be. My fear is that I will be a subpar employee AND a subpar parent.

Should I just stay put in my current position (which allows me to take time off when needed) and wait to pursue a higher position/more money when kids are older?

TL;DR: Is a $25K annual raise worth more stress and less time with kids?
