Got waitlisted

I applied for EA Mech Eng and just saw my results today that I got waitlisted. So strange because I had decent extracurriculars, 1450 (670rw 780m), 4.0 gpa, and some other stuff. Maybe because I'm poor? idk. I already got into the schools I wanted so here I'm just curious as to why I got waitlisted.
