Scheduled C-section or Vaginal delivery?

**I'd like to note I'm not seeking medical advice, I'm here to hopefully gain some perspective!

I am a FTM, 36w 3d. At my last OB appointment I discussed my desire to have my tubes removed after the birth of my baby boy. I'm so very grateful to have him, to have gotten to experience pregnancy, but I absolutely do not want to be pregnant again.

My goal was to attempt a vaginal delivery, and by attempt I simply mean I understand sometimes things can happen and sometimes a C-section becomes necessary.

My doctor mentioned the option of scheduling a C-section to be able to remove my tubes at the same time, that way I don't need to come back for another surgery a few months down the road. It is completely my decision, either schedule a C-section or wait for labor to occur naturally and hope for a vaginal delivery.

However, both vaginal and cesarean deliveries are starting to sound absolutely terrifying to me and I feel I'm faced with an impossible decision, as I really don't know what to expect from either.

I guess I'm here wondering if anyone has any opinions, thoughts, experiences, anything of the sort about either to share? I'm dreading both options but i know those are the only two options I have.

Thank you
