I think I screwed up my build...

I've never played PoE, but PoE2 looked amazing, so I paid to get it. I picked the Witch because she looked interesting and her skills were unique. However I started branching into the Elemental skills around Lvl 15 (currently Lvl 18). Should I have just stuck to my tree alone? Did I screw up? If so, can I fix it? Or was this an ok move? I'm not new to the genre or video games for that matter; just new to this series specifically. Playing on PS5 solo currently, but occasionally play with my husband (Ranger).
