Medical problems

I have a bad liver and recently had a newborn; I fear that a hospitalization is near in the future for possible liver failure/damage; if I were hospitalized will my 1 month old baby boy be able to be with me? I don’t trust my family much nor do I want him away from me and I am breastfeeding. How do hospitalizations go after pregnancy/ with a new baby?
