Has anybody tried topical lidocaine?
In my search of strategies to deal with the pain without using pain meds, I was suggested lidocaine rollers. We don't have those here, but we do have (prescription?) lidocaine topical cream.
I've been using it on my temples, forehead, jaw, and neck for my daily headaches for a few days now, any time I feel the pain coming, and it seems to really help.
I don't know if it's placebo or what, because the pharmacist assured me that it wouldn't work, but I feel like it numbs the pain and masks it really well.
Anybody else has any experience with this? I'm seeing my neuro tomorrow so he'll probably yell at me if I'm doing something horribly wrong.
