MIS/CIS computer reqs?

My old MacBook Pro (pre M chips) finally gave out. What would be a better replacement? 24gb MacBook Air M3 or 16gb MacBook Pro M4?

I’m in college, and I have a data science emphasis if that matters. Some of my classes I plan on taking involve data visualization and machine learning, but I don’t know how in depth that will be.
