So is Lyft now low balling drivers?
I first started driving in 2019 in Denver, always part-time, never more than 30 hours a week. It was a perfect side gig. I remember one night in August, I drove around 9pm-1am and made almost $700. No kind of special event happening or anything, just a lot of tips and random bonuses. That's obviously an anomaly and never happened again, but still crazy. I drove off and on until 2022 and even on BAD days I'd still average like $30 an hour.
Recently moved to Indianapolis, and decided to start it up again.....to say WTF is an understatement. Forget $30, I'd be lucky to get half that. Had a ride about 6 miles, 16 minutes, $3.60 pay....I mean I know Indy has a much lower cost of living than Denver, but that's just straight up disrespectful. Yea it's still just part-time for me so whatever, but if this is really how things are across the board, I really feel for those of you trying to make a living from it
