Owner cutting pay by $25,000 yearly and now says I put in a voluntary resignation while I was on PTO
I feel like the company I work for is going under. I'm in the Healthcare industry and started a company from ground up. Our census is low. The director of marketing fired all the marketers which plummeted our census even more. The other offices have a census of 60 so this new policy didnt effect them. A new policy and contract was written to decrease my salary from 108 to 85 yearly. I was presented this information on a Monday at 445. I had put in for PTO months prior, which was approved. The new contract stated I needed to respond by that Friday. Thurs to Tuesday, I was on PTO so I responded immediately when I got back, to which the owner stated I put in a voluntary resignation because I didn't respond while on PTO.
Does anyone have thoughts on this? Or have any legal insight?
