What should I do LC or CF??

I recently completed my 5th sem and I am from tier 3 college and I did nothing till now just know the basics of DSA till dp and dont know graphs did something 60-80 questions in Leetcode, I recently give CF Contest and did pretty well and I kinda liked CF and started doing 800-1000 rated questions but my friend said time is very less around 1 year is left for companies so doing CF now will be waste of time as I am targeting companies, I know i fucked up my time I should have started sooner but I want to get placed and I also like to compete like to give contest on CF I am hella confused what to do now to target placement. PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE what should I do now?
