KTM Engine Reliability

I want to know how reliable ktm (dukes) engines are ! Currently I own one pulsar, and I want to upgrade. Probably duke 250 or 390. Ofcourse I want it for long term. One of the main criteria is, suppose I need to go point A to point B tomorrow morning, I don't need to scrap my head around like will my bike be sufficient enough to get me to the destination. In 6 - 8 years down the line, will the engine cause any problem?
