Why won’t Brooke hire a decorator?

I don’t understand why she won’t hire an interior designer?

She has the money… If she needs to stay within a budget, she can tell them and they can accommodate that and find pieces that still look good but are within what she wants to spend.

Why is she being so hard headed with this? I’m so confused.

Everything looks strange. Her trying to be defiant do it herself will literally cost her more than if she just hired a professional who can understand her style and put together something cohesive.
