Clarification on probationary period and RIF protections after role change
Since I completed my probationary period in my previous role and now hold a new position under a different title and work series, I would like to understand more clearly how the Reduction in Force (RIF) policy applies to me. Specifically, if a RIF were to occur, would I be subject to termination as a probationary employee in my new role, despite having previously completed my probationary period as a federal employee? Are there any exceptions or protections that would apply to my situation?
