Death Collector (Subtle Spoiler)

I came across many reviews on Playstore, that were critical mostly targeting the vast use of history refs in the book. Even so, I decided to purchase it and give it a read (this was a month or so before) I had read similar reviews to the Choice of Vampire saga, and still adored it and am excited about the Chicago arc. Upon starting Death Collector, I really liked the whole librarian scenario. Apparently, I found Kara’s personality really anime-like, and she really reminded me of Lisa from Genshin Impact lol. From the start, I had really been pulled into the story and its characters; upon being introduced to the main team, which include Perdita the extra smart one, Roza the tsundere, Rashkolnikow the talkative one, and ofc our rich brat Travis, is it really a supernatural academy story without a rich brat? At first, I figured I’d take a stance of being the loner type and quiet one but the writing and dialogue options just made me wanna choose the most sarcastic ones (just like me IRL) and I must say they made me chuckle at times! The writing was solid and each character had their own little arcs and incidents to take place. The characters were really well written, they had solid storylines and personalities to separate them from each other.

Obviously, as a Tsundere lover, I chose to pursue the Roza arc and boy did I really love it!

The story paces itself so well, though I did feel the ending was rushed and could have been a tad longer! Only because I was enjoying myself so much. There are just so many interesting moments when the MC goes Death Collecting; for saying the emotional impact, you have known you’re the last sound these dying souls will hear and I couldn’t help but sympathize with them. Romance scenes with Roza started picking up near the end, and I must say the way MC and Roza’s first kiss scene takes place well for MC was just breathtaking and peaked my heart! Then there’s another moment where she tucks your hair behind your ear “Ooooof” that’s all I’ll say.

Now it's understandable for you to have reasons for not liking the game, just as I have for loving it! And be free to comment down either. Just no hate comments please lol.

Note to author
I’d totally pay for a sequel even though I’d doubt you’d do one but something similar based in this world would be great. Other than that loved the book and hope you’re doing good if you ever get to read this… Just wanted to let you know!

P.S
The book is fairly old, and you’ve probably haven’t heard of it, thus the best chance for you to read it!
