Help, my sound output keeps on switching and it’s so annoying

I have a sound bar. Hooked up with hdmi, and whenever I switch inputs this loop of switching between tv audio, and external audio happens. And then it will randomly do this while watching something or gaming! It’s super annoying and any help on fixing this would be awesome!! Thank you so much!
