New Ham -- Now What?

Oh hey, I just got my license! Like literally got my call sign today. What do I do now? If it wasn't on the technician class exam I don't know how to do it. Should I join ARES and RACES? I have a UV5R, but I can't even find other people's conversations to listen in on.
