[Spoiler: 1999 Faceoff] Picture challenge!
Count how many Arctic Eximus units are in this picture!
Alright, jokes aside, WHAT
Second: the f###?!
I literally *could not move* an inch, and could hardly benefit from my augmentations because they were blocking my shots. This shit is what made me stop playing Cyte-09 in Hollvania Solo.
And I wish I could say that the AI on the opposing team gave me an Eximus Influx. Hell, it very well might have happened, but considering the consistency of me seeing more than 1 Arctic Eximus units in one spot, what with the number even going into double digits when I went into a solo Exterminate, I wouldn't put it past my luck that this occurred out of happenstance, and repeatedly so. I have a feeling that the seasons have a bigger role to play than just appearances, they might influence the Eximus rates, too.
I'm not sure how we should even address it in a healthy manner. The only thing I can think of is them removing the goddamn slow effect!
I shouldn't have to mod my Warframe to counter a single ability! It's not even a negation, it's just a 45% resistance!
I do apologize if I ranted a bit, but I had to get it off my chest. I've been thinking for a while, and now, I feel like I have a good grasp of what I wanted to discuss.
That the slow effect from the Arctic Eximus is simultaneously, punishing, and prone to snowballing in the enemies' favor. All they have to do is *exist* in your area and all of a sudden, you can't move as well as you want to while everyone is wailing on you even harder.
It's hard to justify "just dodge" when there's something preventing people from doing so in the first place. And it's another thing entirely when it's just an AOE that gives out a Debuff without an easy way of shutting it off, since Silence isn't negating the slowdown, it's negating the bubble.
It wasn't a problem before because they didn't spawn that often. Why would they? They're *a* Eximus type, and it always has a chance to just be another kind of unit.
But as I speculated above, I have a feeling 1999's Seasons are influencing the rates.
You could chalk it up to me going crazy, that I'm not using a controlled environment and can't say anything as a fact. That I'm just malding and started hyperfixating on just the amount of Arctic Eximus units because they flubbed me over 1 time.
You might be right. But the thing is, it wasn't just 1 time. This was the 4th time there were too many Arctic Eximus units in one spot, in Hollvania no less, which lead me to dying repeatedly because I couldn't dodge or fight back effectively. And there's no doubt in my head that it would piss off everybody else, including you.
Should something be done about the Arctic Eximus units? Or should we find out more about the Season mechanics and adjust it from there?
