Client Blocked Me
Hello everyone,
I have been on Upwork as a part-time job while finishing my degree since 2021. I have 10K+ earnings and Top Rated status. I never had any major issues with a client before and always got amazing feedback.
Yesterday something weird happened, one of the clients that I have been working with several weeks suddenly closed the contract and blocked me. I was giving him updates every week and he always was really happy with them. In my feedback, I explained all these that he got unresponsive recently, then said everything is great, then hour later he closed contract, left a feedback, and blocked me. And because I wasn’t happy with communication and cooperation I gave him 2.5 rating. After I gave my feedback, I realized he gave me 5-stars. So I am quite confused now and I am wondering two things:
Was I too harsh to give 2.5? When he blocked me I thought he gave me really bad rating so I had to explain my side of the story on the feedback.
Never been blocked before, do you think this will affect any statistics regarding my profile like visibility?
