Someone logged into my account and now it's deleted - what does this mean and what can I do?
This morning, I received a notification that a new login to my account has been detected. Promptly after a few minutes, all my sessions have been logged out and my account appears to be deleted (asked my contacts if they see my account active, but it's marked as deleted).
I cannot login to my account, as I get an error "too many attempts".
Did Telegram delete/ban my account in an effort to prevent abuse, or did the malicious actor delete my account?
And, what recourse can I take at this point? I've emailed Telegram and filled their support form, but based on what I've read here, changes of getting an actual reply are not good.
