Any reason why Feng Wei is unpopular?

At least in my experience it seems like he is, since in my currently over 1000 matches in tekken 8 I only encountered him twice (I have checked). I think he is an incredibly fun character to play and he has a lot going on for him in terms of tools, so I thought he would've been a main for at least a decent amount of people. does he pale in comparison to other characters? or is he not as fun to play for others?
