Just finished my final day of orientation today

A lot to learn and get used to. I’m so used to warehouse operations that I completely forgot that retail operations is much more complicated and super compact. So many terms to memorize. In warehouses, it seems that things are purposely dumbed down to easily get things done. How do you guys remember all this stuff? I mean I assume it gets easier once I get hands on with the actual work, but man. I left today feeling like “WHOAAA” luckily one of my ETL’s gave me a brief overview before I left. I REALLY like how target engineered how to stage product. It basically tells you how many steps you have to walk and how many rows up/over the product will be for the right placement. I’ve never seen that before and thought it was legit really cool! Anyway, my first official day begins tomorrow at 4am for inbound. I’m hoping I can make a good first impression on my work. The ETL apparently had high hopes for me according to HR (don’t really know how true that is) but I’m pretty excited. How long did it take y’all to get used to your job roll?
