Strattera journey so far, would love thoughts/anecdotes on long-term use
Hi y’all! I started taking Strattera at 40mgs a month ago, so it’s been a full four weeks. I heard that it usually takes 4-8 weeks to feel the full effects and for stabilization. However, I noticed an immediate DRASTIC difference in the first week or so but then it completely fell off a cliff. The first week I was clear headed, my anxiety was pretty much gone, I was less irritable, able to start and complete tasks and feel satisfaction from this, driving was SO EASY, and overall I just felt like my functioning improved by at least 50%. I actually cried because I realized that I had, for my whole life up until getting diagnosed and medicated, just been muscling my way through everything and bullying myself along the way. It was such a relief to feel brand new the way I did. I had so much hope.
But then I started experiencing extreme fatigue, the task initiation got harder, and I pretty much feel like I went back to baseline - but worse because of the Hope/relief I had experienced that was now gone.
I was also weaning off Bupropion, so I am hoping that the rollercoaster is due to that and with continued Strattera use I will stabilize and get the positive effects back.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Did continuing work for you?
Has anyone found anything to help with fatigue and extreme difficulty waking up in the morning before a dose?
