Why does everyone complain that Sonic has ‘too many characters’
One thing that’s been bothering me is that in past, and even to some extent today, there have been a sub section of people online complaining that Sonic has too many friends and the casts needs to be shorten (ex: Yahtzee Croshaw; DO NOT send harassment). My question is, why do people have a problem with Sonic having too many characters but it’s not an issue with other franchises. For example, you will never find Nintendo fans saying that Mario has too many characters. Marvel and DC have hundreds of characters that are relatively obscure, but fans of either don’t complain that their cast is too big. Why do people have a problem with Sonic having too many characters when most long running franchises have hundreds of obscure characters?
