Why do so many people have hatred towards mocktails?

I have been in the industry for years and recall servers and bartenders alike talking a good amount of shit about mocktails.

I’ve heard servers complain that their table is getting mocktails. Many times. Ok, you don’t have to make the drink and it still adds a decent amount more money to your check.

I’ve heard a few bartenders make little snide comments about tickets with mocktails when they come up like they are annoyed. I’ve heard one bartender complain that she “doesn’t think she should have to make mocktails because they’re stupid”. She was one of the lead bartenders and also a manager.

Idk what am I missing here? I am sober so I extra don’t get it, I love a good mocktail and idk why it seems to piss people off.
