What does everyone do with their cash?

I’m getting back into the game after a long time off. When I used to serve a long time ago, cash was fine. I could still pay my rent in cash some bills. Now everything basically requires electronic payment. Unfortunately I have USAA which does not have atms for me to deposit cash into. Should I just get a local bank account?
