Anyone know why the heck the Japanese version of Sonic 3D blast is so expensive?

I was interested in getting this game for the Saturn and thought I'd look at Japanese listings on eBay since I thought the prices for the American versions were already expensive enough. Color me surprised when I looked and saw that the Japanese version is even MORE expensive. Sometimes twice as much depending on the seller. 😵‍💫😵‍💫
