Hunters Call Update - Discussion

I’ve been waiting for an update like this for so long. Honestly, the only reason why I play this game is for fishing, so this update was huge for me and I love it but…

It’s a little too easy…I should at least have to select the right bait for the treasure fish that I’m trying to catch. Just throwing in an empty hook and catching everything makes it trivial and a little too over simplified. It feels like bait has become pretty much obsolete. Other than that, I’m super happy they finally did something like this. But let’s be honest, they can do a lot more. They’re are just scratching the surface.

The choice of allowing people to gain rep through raids is also pretty lame. Game rewards are exactly that, REWARDING. Now you can do completely unrelated activities (RAIDS) to increase your hunters call reputation. This degrades the grind and perseverance of actual “hunters” who put in effort and time to fishing. I don’t really care about this, but it’s something to note as it devalues your time and effort on a grand scale. Basically making what you do specifically in the game not unique because anyone can accomplish what you did however they want.

Anyways, I do appreciate the update and am grateful that I am finally able to earn meaningful rewards for doing my favourite thing in this game, fishing. What do you guys think?
