What should I know before playing?

I bought the game a few months ago but ultimately decided to hold off until i bought a new GPU. For the past few months I've avoided every spoiler and pretty much the only thing I know is that the game has a slow start. I have played and loved both Tlou games ( part 2 is probably my favourite game of all time) and GTA SA and V.
