Extended family wants to take a beach trip when my daughter in 1 month old

My dad’s side of the family is planning a big family beach trip a month after my baby is born (due in April) and asked my husband and I to go. My grandmother is getting a large condo on the beach for what could be about 20+ people (& kids) if everyone goes. The beach is about 3 hours from us. We missed the last one they planned and my grandfather passed away shortly after. I feel very sad that we missed that one and would like to go this time, but my child’s heath and safety is my top concern.

We would not be taking her ON the beach but I’m more concerned with exposing her to people too soon. My stepson is also graduating high school that same month and I’m scared to leave her with someone else but am not sure baby wearing her in a stadium full of people in close proximity is any better. I just want to get opinions from other moms to be sure I’m making a good decision. Please be kind, this is my first child and while I do intend to ask my OB, I value other people’s experiences as well. Thank you!
