Failed 5th time. Wanted to let it out somewhere

In 2 years: You take your theory and pass on second go You spend about £1000 on lessons with instructors You spend a few thousands from your savings on your own car to help you hopefully. You spend 3 hours in the car weekly with the instructor and 2 hours with the friend or family member who passed 20-30 years ago. You drive in lessons and do mocks that go well. You drive in lots of trips in your own car with others supervising you with hopes it prepares you for anything. You eat the bananas You buy the books You take the bach remedies You priorise hunting for test availability. You get 4/5/6 minors but it's that 1 major that fails you - a different major each time. You then look back and realise you need to get the theory retaken it's been 2 years

The whole world expects you pass 1st or 2nd time because they/their friend/their family member did.

Then when you don't pass everyone expects you not quit and brush it off.

Im 38 and these people advising are in their 20s to 70s.

Am I the only person in the world who thinks that for those who passed in maybe 2 attempts or decades ago suddenly join a smug club.

I like to think that I'm more considerate to the fellow learner because I myself have been humbled.

It's amazing how people - other drivers - on and off the road are lacking in consideration because they are learners no more & smug to belong to a world I will never find
