I feel bad

I caused another learner to fail their test today. They pulled out from a junction and onto a 60mph road, stalled, and I had to swerve into the right hand lane to miss them. They could see me coming and yet still emerged from the junction. I was doing 60, as the road in front of me was clear. I was expecting them to wait behind the give way line, not pull out and stop!

I found out since we pulled up at the test centre together. I don’t know why I feel bad. She made the decision to go when it was unsafe. I had to react to avoid a collision. Maybe it’s because my test is in 2 weeks? Maybe it’s because I know how long it takes to find a cancellation, or sit another test?
