CORE position
Hello! New to this sub, I just had my second interview for a FEMA IC-Core position. This would be my first job in the public sector/ with FEMA and I was wondering if I could get some input:
How long did the hiring process take from interview to start date for this position or similar ones? My desired start date wouldn’t be until summer and the hiring timeline has been way quicker than I anticipated already.
If I am offered the position, how likely is it that COREs will get laid off anyway? This would have been a dream job even weeks ago, but I’m worried about stability now.
How often did you travel in this position? Was it worth it?
