Where should I use the crystals

Where do you guys use the crystal on? I always use it to buy gold record. Sometimes I use it to get extra reward on the miracle expedition. I am kind of new to the game, not sure if there is better place to spend those crystals on, like energy or things that I might miss. Thanks.
