Does accepting offers as a seller actually work on Depop?

hi! I'm trying to figure out, if a buyer sends an offer on my product and I accept, do they get notified at all?

I've accepted so many offers and not a single sale has gone through using this system

Is there anything I can do to make it work?

I've thought about messaging each time to let the buyer know I've accepted their offer, I've done this a couple times to no avail
