Best guitar for RetroCultMods solderless kit?

I’m wanting to do the solderless diy RGB kit from RetroCultMods and am looking at guitars. I have a Wii les Paul now but wanting to try something different. However a lot of them are still $60+ on eBay and not a lot of options in my local listings. I see a lot of the ps2 kramer’s for under $40. Are those worth modding? If not, what are some better options?
