Am I The Only One?

Am I a masochist or the only one who misses the older story styles where you choose the ending? Not just choosing who you get your HEA with, but like with ES and ILB you can choose to die or not exist anymore? Or being able to choose to remain single like in NB. The.options to cease existing at the end of a series is fun IMO. I miss those style stories. These single LI books are just so boring. I don't want to be with the married dude. I want the option to say no. Even in FS we had chances to break up with our LI's and date someone else.
