What do Americans want from Canadians in this sub?

To all Americans who come to this sub with posts wanting to be validated or 'saved' (which is a bit weird to start with, you don't see Canadians going to the r/AskAmericans sub for validation): What do you want from us Canadians?

You tell us you didn't vote for him, ok so what do you want us to do about that?

We are a nation of 40million people compared to your 334million. (i swear, the last time i looked at a population chart it was 250...i don't look at them often).

We can't solve your problems; you have to do that yourselves. The most we can do is offer refugee status to those who flee, and even that is more dangerous for us than you realise.

We can't reassure you that we still like you even though 'you didn't vote for him', because it doesn't matter when your country is trying to annex us and threatening to destroy us economically. Canadians have a right to be pissed off that our closest neighbour is threatening us, you don't get to tone-police us.

So i'll ask again, what is it that Americans are hoping to get out of coming to a Canadian sub and posting all the time that you didn't vote for him?

I really don't understand.

Edited at the top to specify that 'not all' Americans come to this sub for validation. But a hell of a lot do lately.

If you're here for maple syrup discussions, carry on.
