Vyvanse is too expensive. Any suggestions?

Hello, I’m a 16yo male who just got prescribed 20mg Vyvanse daily by my doctor, but when we went to pick it up, it was $496. My mom decided that she’s gonna call the clinic tomorrow morning for other medications or a generic brand, and I decided to look around for what else might work. Overall, I’ve seen people say that Vyvanse was the best option they’ve taken, while others prefer Ritalin or Adderall, and that Vyvanse makes them more prone to anxiety and recklessness. My ADHD symptoms have always been getting in the way of my life, but now they’re worse than ever with college apps coming, extracurriculars, academics, etc. My main problem is focusing on tasks and organization. Since Vyvanse ended up being more expensive that I thought, does anyone have suggestions on what I can do?
